Started as a West Ham junior before moving to Wycombe, where the diminutive midfielder progressed through the youth ranks into the first team. Making over 50 appearances for the Chairboys, including outings in their famous 2001 FA Cup run, Martyn also appeared on loan at Cheltenham Town in the Football League before moving to the non-league game with Maidenhead United to pursue professional qualifications. Made an impact when moving to the K's and is established as one of the best creative forces in the league.
